This summer Kim and I decided to do something completely different. No more hectic long bus rides with only two nights in any one city. We decided to spend two weeks in France, one of them cruising old canals and the Dordogne, Garonne and the Gironde Rivers on the barge Mirabelle with Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT Tours). 

   The Barge Tour was fabulous, going far beyond our expectations.  We hoped for and got a very relaxing wine-filled tour with great food.  In fact, the food was so unexpectedly good that Kim has included the Mirabelle's dinner menus and Jean-Yann's Leek Tart menu at the end of the Daily Journal page.  Check out the Daily Journal, it says it all.
