Kim and I had such a great time on our Bordeaux Barge trip this summer we decided to try Grand Circle Travel's Holiday Danube River Cruise. Our Christmas holidays have become too similar and we wanted to do something really different. We couldn't put up a Christmas tree this year due to our new crazy cats anyway. Grand Circle caters to an older traveler and we were close to the youngest on the MS Aria. We found once again that older traveler often equates with well educated and well traveled professionals that have interesting stories to share. The staff was exceptionally eager to please and the food was very good. Our cabin was comfortable as was the entire boat. There were 148 passengers on board, and we got to know many folks quite well. The MS Aria was a good size, not too many passengers. We felt we were always treated as individuals. I don't think we would ever like to travel on a larger boat with a larger group and lose that individuality. |
