I picked Portugal for my big trip this year for a combination of reasons.  Part of the reason I liked this Portugal tour with Globus was because I wanted a tour with very short bus rides.  After all the grand Europe highlight tours going from major city to city I wanted a change of pace.  More importantly, I liked this tour because I wanted to visit the Douro Valley where Port wine grapes are grown and Oporto, where Port wine is produced.  Kim and I are big vintage Port drinkers. It didn't hurt that the tour was quite inexpensive by Globus standards, although a bit short for me.  The shortness was a problem until I discovered Salema on the net, and realized I could easily add 7 relaxing days at the beach in Salema, a remote fishing village in southern Portugal, in the Algarve region.  Thanks to Rick Steves for the hints.
